Scorps & Spokeshaves

Spokeshaves are, in essence, very short soled planes for working curved surfaces. Used for refining convex, biconvex, slightly concave, and concave/convex surfaces after initial shaping with the bandsaw and rasps. Used to shape and smooth woods commonly for projects such as chair making yet for such a simple tool it is capable of assisting in creating quite complex finishes.
