Pozidriv Screwdrivers

Pozidriv was developed by the Phillips Screw Company as an improved version of the original Phillips crosshead, giving better contact between driver and screw and reducing the tendency to cam out under load. It has become the standard crosshead fastener across much of Europe and is found throughout furniture making, cabinetry, joinery and general fitting.

Our Pozidriv range is made up entirely of Narex screwdrivers. Each has a strong, beautifully ground tip finished in a black high friction coating, which also acts as a substrate for the chrome plating on the rest of the tool. Handles are beech, stained black and triangular in section for a comfortable grip and efficient transfer of torque, with a tang that passes right through so the driver can be lightly struck with a mallet if extra persuasion is needed.

Pozidriv and Supadriv screws can be driven interchangeably with the same driver, the difference being that Supadriv allows the screwdriver to work at a slight angle, whereas Pozidriv should be driven square on.
