Refund & Returns Policy - Workshop Heaven

We want you to be absolutely delighted with your purchase. If you're not happy for any reason, we’re here to help.


Lifetime Warranty

All Workshop Heaven products are warranted against faulty materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the original customer, unless clearly stated otherwise in the product listing.

This does not include consumables, such as glues, finishes, abrasives, and cutting tools. However, you can still expect:

  • Glues and finishes to be fresh.
  • Files, rasps, and blades to have a long, usable life.

Changed your mind? (Right to Cancel)

You have the right to cancel your order within 30 calendar days of receiving it.

To cancel:

  1. Contact us within 30 days.
  2. Return the item unused, in its original condition and packaging, including any promotional items.
  3. You must pay the return postage.
  4. Include your name, order number, contact email, and phone number in the return parcel.
  5. Retain proof of postage in case the item is lost in transit.

We’ll refund:

  • The cost of the item.
  • The basic delivery charge (if you selected an upgraded delivery, e.g. next-day, we’ll only refund the standard shipping cost).

Exchanges

If you’d prefer an exchange instead of a refund:

  • Let us know when requesting a return.
  • Exchanges are subject to stock availability.
  • If the new item costs more or less, we’ll arrange any payment or refund as needed.

Items We Cannot Accept for Return (Unless Faulty)

  • Custom-made items
  • Special-order items not listed on our website
  • Used or damaged items, unless there’s a manufacturing fault

Make sure to:

  • Include your order number and contact details
  • Use protective packaging
  • Keep your proof of postage

Condition of Returned Items

Returned products must be:

  • In the best possible condition.
  • Returned with all original packaging.

If the item is not returned in saleable condition, or is missing parts, we may deduct a portion from your refund.


Returns Outside Policy

If you return an item after 30 days, or don’t follow the return instructions, we reserve the right to:

  • Charge a restocking fee (up to 20% of the item price).
  • Offer store credit instead of a cash refund.

Refund Timeline & Method

Refunds will be made to the original payment method (card, PayPal, etc.).

Please allow:

  • 3–5 working days for your return to reach us.
  • Up to 7 working days for us to process your refund after we receive your return.

Faulty or Incorrect Items

If your item is faulty or incorrect:

  1. Contact us immediately.
  2. Return it using the cheapest method (e.g. Royal Mail 2nd Class) unless we instruct otherwise.
  3. Keep proof of postage.

Once we confirm the fault:

  • We’ll refund your return postage up to the value of 2nd Class post.
  • We’ll also refund the full purchase price, including the original standard delivery cost.

Important:

  • If you choose a more expensive return method, we’ll only refund up to the 2nd Class postage cost.

Damaged Items on Arrival

If your item arrives damaged, please:

  1. Email us within 48 hours of delivery
  2. Include photos of the damage
  3. Keep all original packaging

We’ll arrange a replacement or full refund, depending on what suits you best.


Lost or Damaged Returns (in Transit)

Until your return reaches us, it’s your responsibility.
Please:

  • Pack items securely
  • Use tracked or insured shipping for valuable items

We can’t issue refunds for returns lost or damaged in transit.


Partial Returns

Returning only part of your order? No problem.

We’ll refund the item(s) you returned, but not the original delivery fee, unless the entire order is returned.


Delayed Returns Due to Circumstances

If you're unable to return your item within 30 days due to illness, travel, postal strikes, or another exceptional situation — please contact us.

We’ll try to be flexible where reasonable.


Non-Returnable Items

Unless they are faulty or not as described, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds on:

  • Custom-made items
  • Special order items not listed on our website

Your Legal Rights

This policy is in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

If something you bought is faulty, misdescribed, or doesn’t do what it’s supposed to, you are entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
