Made by a collaboration between the Stubai forge from the Austrian Tyrol (forging and heat treatment) and Hewman of France (grinding, hanging and leatherwork).  The traditional oiled ash handle feels right in the hand, and the 30 degree flat grind delivers a sweet spot of cutting performance right out of the box. Nobody is trying to reinvent anything here, the goal was a very traditional high quality carving axe at a great price.
