This traditional little Japanese hand broom is just the job for sweeping workbenches, work surfaces in the workshop, table-tops and small spaces. It's made from fibres of the palm Trachycarpus fortunei or windmill palm (otherwise known as shuro). The bundle of fibres are firmly bound together with copper wire to form a handle with a satisfying grip, which then split and bound into 3 to form an elongated brushing surface with the perfect balance of coarseness for effective sweeping.
