Narex Premium corner chisel for easy precision 90° finishing of corners after the mortice has been roughed out and for paring material from round holes or radiused corners to make them square.
Essentially a smaller version of a wheelwright's bruzz, the corner chisel fulfils a similar function to the chisel part of a hollow chisel morticer - but in the world of unplugged woodworking the drilling of the hole and squaring it up are separate operations.
The chunky forged and polished blade is made of Cr-Mn steel heat treated to 59 HRc.
The Narex 8116 style black hornbeam handle, with brass plated steel ferrule, will happily accept blows with a mallet but is also comfortable to push for lighter work.
