14” Carcase or carcass saws (both spellings are correct) are open handled saws that are sized and toothed for general carcase work, like domestic furniture and cabinetry. Typically used as a pair, filed rip and crosscut, they cover all small and medium scale work (including dovetailing so unless you’re doing really tiny ones you don’t need to invest in a separate saw for that).
