Used for striking work, hammering, stamping, punching etc so that you don't dent up the rest of your bench surface. The Pinie® anvil plate is fabricated from 6mm thick steel sheet and covers the top and edge of the bench, It is located with a 5/8" peg on the underside 2" from the edge, which is suitable for all Pinie® workbenches (although fitting to any bench is only a matter of drilling a hole) they are typically installed over a leg where the bench is strongest
There is also provision for a screw to make the installation more permanent, or if you want to be really flash you could even recess the bench top to accommodate it flush mounted.
