In the days when engineering firms had a toolroom, where engineers could go to have a specific die or jig individually custom made for a specific purpose, the toolmakers were always handpicked as the most highly skilled, innovative and accurate. It is in this context that Richard Kell is a toolmaker, and a very good one at that. His tools are made from scratch - bores and diameters drilled and turned, threads cut and components heat treated. We are very lucky to be able to get tools that have been made to such high standards.
