Essentially a curved drawknife, the scorp or inshave was originally a cooper's tool. Scorps are now mainly used for hollowing out the seats on chairs.
This scorp is made by Ray Iles from 01 high carbon tool steel, and fitted with beech handles and brass ferrules, to match the drawknives. With a bit of training the Ray Iles 8" leather sheath will also fit the scorp.
