The Shinwa H-201A Stainless Rule 150mm is a professional quality hardened stainless steel rule with a hard chrome plated finish and etched graduations, metric on one side and imperial on the other.
The metric side has half mm graduations on top and whole mm on the bottom, with large easy reading numbers common to both scales running up the middle, and these mm graduations are held to the full precision of the Japanese Industrial Standard.
The imperial side is a converted scale rather than a JIS-defined one, using 'aircraft quick-reading' scales for clarity, with decimal inches at the top for those who think in thou, and 16ths and 32nds for the fractionalists.
Shinwa stainless steel machine rules are manufactured to Japanese Industrial Standard JIS B7516 grade 1, which governs material specification, heat treatment and length tolerance.
