A popular traditional finishing oil for use on cutting boards and wooden spoons, walnut oil polymerises slowly but completely over four to five days forming a hard, clear, flavourless and odourless finish. Once polymerised walnut oil will not become rancid.
Also excellent as a moisturiser for dry hands or as a base for making your own paints and varnishes, walnut oil is preferred by oil painters for its high clarity and slow drying time.
