Everyone knows that FAMAG Bormax Forstener bits produce precise, perfectly clean, overlappable, flat bottomed holes. This set adds repeatable control over the depth of those cuts, so your battery or corded drill can now achieve results that would otherwise have required a router or drill press.
Select a guide bushing that matches your shank diameter then slide the steel bushing into the durable ABS collar and secure with the circlip (always wear safety glasses when dealing with circlips) ensuring that it is fully seated in the groove. Push the assembly onto the bit shank and secure with the grub screw, sliding the depth-stop cage to your preferred position before firmly tightening. You can now start drilling where the ball-bearing guide will move smoothly against the surface without leaving any friction marks, stopping at the preset depth - time and time again.
Because FAMAG Bormax bits are both rim and point guided you can overlap holes to remove material over an area (always plunging - they don't cut on the sides) if you need deeper holes just flip the bushing around to extend the travel and then lock in place.
Compatible with FAMAG 1622, 1630, and 1663 Bormax Forstener bits.
