Exceptionally beautiful and resistant to wear, ebony has long been a favourite timber with instrument makers and tool makers. The exceptionally fine pores in ebony enable it to take on a deep, rich, luxuriant finish.
Used sparingly as a contrast timber ebony can add elegance to fine cabinetry projects, turned items and marquetry.
