A delightfully fingertippy and precise moustache shaped spokeshave from Mujingfang, these little shaves always remind me of furniture designer maker David Savage, who was a great advocate of them. Handmade from African Jackalberry to a traditional Taiwanese design, each body is individually numbered and paired with a superb hand forged carbon steel blade.
The body is 185mm long with a 60mm cutting edge blade and a very tight mouth. Although the 10mm of sole ahead of the blade is flat, the underside of the blade forms an angle with it; so it is very easy to master, but you can also get inside some fairly tight curves.
