A well cared for and very serviceable set of lightly used Jennings pattern auger bits from various Sheffield makers, predominantly Toga.
Jennings pattern or 'extension-lip spur auger bits' have sharp radiused spurs that score the perimiter of the hole ahead of the next cutting lip, which then planes off the separated waste and sends it up the flutes and out of the hole. In mild good quality timber they are capable of producing a very clean hole indeed, hence their popularity with furniture makers and restorers.
Thirteen bits in total, 1/4' to 1" by sixteenths, supplied in a new, British made 18 pocket auger roll with a new double ended auger bit file.
