Popular with builders and site chippies in Japan, the black version of the ubiquitous Shinwa square has a completely non reflective surface so it is easy to read even in bright sunshine.
The tips are rounded and all the edges eased so they don't snag on anything or poke holes in the bottom of your pockets. While the outer graduations are in whole mm the inside is graduated in 5mm increments for faster reading of the vast majority of measurements that end in 0 or 5. Both scales read from the outside edge, so for inside corner measurements subtract 15mm.
