Alfrid are my favourite brand of Sheffield augers, with a history dating back to the 1760's when they supplied wood boring tools to the Royal Navy. This beautiful collection of ten augers (4 to 8 by sixteenths then 10 to 16 by eighths) plus a matching screwdriver bit, have a selection of different Alfrid roll marks on the shanks, yet are proportionally well matched and all in excellent condition.
