The Gyokucho TRONC 180 series of saws are designed for professional craftspeople making small high quality work; jewellery boxes, musical instruments, furniture maquettes etc. The handles are turned from hard maple and cherry, giving a balance point biased for control rather than speed.
The Atsuba Kataba offers a faster, deeper cutting option ideal for stock preparation including cutting sheet materials (solid timber, ply, laminates etc).
Hijirime teeth (differentially set) as found on some of Gyokucho's larger saws deliver a clean almost frictionless cutting action and extended service life, with careful use a single blade can give many years of service. The rounded tip allows cuts to be started in the middle of a board or panel.
