Floats were originally used by planemakers and gunsmiths for fine tuning very accurate flat internal surfaces and slots.
This set contains:
- The IW-100CPEDEF is 100mm long float with extra fine, chemically polished teeth on the edge and safe faces. Because the teeth run right up to the corners, you can extend a slot or groove without damaging the surface you are referencing off.
- Usually used in conjunction with the IW-100CPSDEF which has a toothed face and safe edges for refining and adjusting the faces of slots.
