An engineers drawing set built to this standard is a different proposition from the lightweight alternatives that fill most catalogues. These are serious instruments made for people who measure twice and trust what they read.
K-MET engineers' draughting squares are milled from 3mm thick steel plate with beautifully precision ground edges. The protractor head is 3mm thick and the arm is 4mm thick. It is a proper engineers' protractor, precision ground from thick steel sheet and large enough to position accurately to half a degree.
What that means in practice is milled and ground to tolerances that translate directly into accurate marking out, squares that stay true under workshop use rather than flexing or wearing at the edges and a protractor you can actually read and set with confidence: that half-degree accuracy is meaningful when it matters.
This draughting set contains the following:
- K-MET Engineers' Steel Draughting Square 250mm 45 degree - 250mm sides, 353.5mm hypotenuse
- K-MET Engineers' Steel Draughting Square 250mm 60 degree - 250mm and 145mm sides, 289mm hypotenuse
- K-MET Engineers' Steel Protractor 0-180deg 200mm x 290mm
