Writing Instruments
Writing instruments for the workshop bring together the pencils, ink line markers and marking fluids you need to lay out cut lines, curves and reference points clearly on wood and metal.
Shinwa leads the range here, with marking pencils and crayons in a choice of grades, a 2.0mm mechanical pencil, and the Handy Ink Line Marker Pro Plus for snapping long, accurate lines across a workpiece. Their drawing curves set and flexible scale rule cover the layout work a straight edge can't. Alongside these sit Narex replacement leads, Pentel's Sharplet-2 propelling pencil for fine general marking, and Stuarts Micrometer Engineers Blue for checking contact between mating surfaces. If you'd rather start with everything in one go, our own Workshop Heaven Marking Out Set brings the essentials together.
