A fully retractable, height adjustable, bench stop or planing stop that can be fitted in any position more than 4" away from the edge of your workbench.
The casting is screwed to the underside of the bench and the hardwood block slides through a hole cut in the bench top. Everything above the surface is wood, so if you do clip it with your plane it won't damage anything, and you can set any projection from 0 to 60mm and secure it with the brass wingnut.
Designed for bench top thicknesses up to 90mm (3-1/2"). If your top is thinner you'll just cut a bit more off when you trim the block flush, if it's thicker than 90mm the block won't rise quite so far out of the bench.

Secure with three No.10 (5mm dia) dome head woodscrews (not included).
