The Mujingfang Ebony Mini Rounding Plane creates a concave channel with an 18mm internal radius, ideal for making dowels and profiling the edges of straight components up to 9mm thick to give a rounded bullnose effect, improving strength as well as aesthetics and tactility.
The body is handmade from a solid block of ebony, fitted with a fine grained high speed steel cutting iron secured by a solid brass lever cap.
Small enough to work comfortably in one hand, it's a useful addition alongside a mini hollow or compass plane for anyone building up a set of profile planes for fine detail work.
