Japanese Nigiri Scissors - Shirogami Long - has a blade length of 52mm and is good in the following applications:
- General household and workshop snipping where you want more cutting edge per stroke, e.g., cutting string, twine, herbs, paper
- Tasks with a longer cut line (e.g., trimming a longer thread run or cutting through a bundle) where fewer strokes is an advantage
- Slightly more general-purpose use, less specialised than the short blade
Made from the same top quality materials as our forged finish scissors, these scissors are only 105mm long and have been carefully hand polished to eliminate the possibility of snagging fibres when used for dressmaking and tailoring. A happy by product of this process is that it makes them look fantastic too.
