2in (50mm) Quangsheng plane blade to fit No.62 low angle jack planes.
This is a 3mm thick plane iron made from T10 water hardening carbon tool steel hardened to RC63. Water hardening steels are more difficult to heat treat than either oil or air hardening steels but they take a finer edge.With the 38 degree blade installed the Quangsheng No.62 low angle jack plane functions in much the same way as any other York pitch plane.
