A very crisp set of Ridgway 240 series Jennings pattern augers, 3/16" up to 1" by sixteenths plus a ¼" and ¾" countersinks. Excellent condition mostly with little evidence of use, the ⅝" has been sharpened a few times but has plenty left to give, the remainder are still at the beginning of their working lives.
Established in 1878 and based first in Rockingham Street and later Edward Street, Wm Ridgway became one of Sheffield’s most prolific manufacturers of wood boring tools. Thanks to their excellent natural stability, Jennings pattern auger bits tend to be the preferred choice of furniture makers.
Supplied in a new British made auger roll with a new auger bit file.
