The Shinwa Measuring Set from Workshop Heaven pairs two precision stainless steel tools for everyday marking and checking work: a 150mm try square and a 45° mitre gauge.
The Shinwa 150mm try square is a very nicely made stainless steel square of a useful size with whole millimetre graduations on both the inside and outside edges, referenced from the apex, and is accurate to 1/10mm per 10cm. The stock is decorated with a relief of characters from Japanese mythology, a small touch that sets it apart from a purely functional square.
The Shinwa stainless steel 45° Mitre Gauge is double sided, with one face for checking internal mitres and the other for external, so the reference edge always sits correctly against the work regardless of which angle you're checking.
