Kyusakichi Carbon Steel Lopping Shears are ideal for pruning thicker branches than you would approach with ordinary shears or secateurs but are still faster and require less effort than a saw.
Sturdy, beautifully balanced and a pleasure to own and use, their parrots beak blade design and 10 fold mechanical advantage convert movement into power and control. The 7mm thick forged blades are made from high carbon steel (not corrosion resistant but take a very good edge) they are robustly attached to long, stout, white oak handles by a hooped and rivetted tang joint.
Clean and lightly oil after each use.
As with all scissors, only sharpen the bevelled surface, don't touch the faces that meet.
