FAMAG 1775 Machine Countersink

FAMAG 1775 Countersink is a seven-edged countersink with a 90° point angle, built to solve the chatter problem that plagues softwood countersinking. The irregular pitch of the cutting edges breaks up vibration as the tool bites, so you get a clean, even sink rather than a juddering, torn one.

Good to reach for when:

• Countersinking screw heads in softwood, where standard countersinks tend to chatter and leave a rough edge
• Working with a hand drill rather than a pillar drill, since the irregular pitch keeps cutting smooth even without the steadiness of a fixed setup
