Twelve Narex 8116 chisels in one set, spanning 6mm to 50mm, gives you every size likely to come up in cabinetmaking without the expense of buying each one separately. The 8116 line is accurately ground with fine edges and close tolerance backs, exactly the kind of detail that separates a chisel that pares cleanly from one that doesn't.

Chrome Manganese (CrMn) spring steel forms every blade, isothermally hardened to a consistent bainitic structure at RC59 +/-1. In use it performs much like carbon steel, while being the more efficient steel for Narex to produce, one of the reasons this range costs less than the quality would suggest.

The shouldered teardrop hornbeam handles are stained in this set, protecting the wood while keeping its natural feel under the hand, and dense enough to shrug off mallet blows without marring or becoming uncomfortable over a long session of chopping.
