This set brings together the full run of Narex 8116 chisels (apart from the 3mm), twelve sizes from 6mm to 50mm, in the range's natural hornbeam finish. The 8116 range is accurately ground, with fine edges and close tolerance backs that make it genuinely good value rather than simply cheap.

Every blade is forged from Chrome Manganese (CrMn) spring steel, isothermally hardened to a consistent bainitic structure at RC59 +/-1. The steel cuts and sharpens much like carbon steel, while being more efficient for Narex to produce, one reason this range costs less than its performance suggests.

Handles follow the shouldered teardrop hornbeam pattern used across the range, dense enough to take mallet work without marring or becoming uncomfortable to grip over a long session. In this set the hornbeam is lightly waxed rather than stained, keeping its natural pale colour and feel.

Supplied without a tool roll, this set suits workshops that already have their own chisel storage sorted, whether that is a rack, a drawer insert or an existing roll, and simply need the full range of sizes to hand for everything from fine paring and dovetail work through to heavier mortice chopping.
